If You Are In The Risk Category
Is your job stressing you out,
more than your mind is being frazzled? If the answer is yes, then your health may be in jeopardy as well. In a survey conducted on
working women, those who reported high levels of job strain also scored high for depression, anxiety, neuroticism and hostility. Are
you one of them?
Do you find that you are more irritable with family? Or do you find that you're not really interacting very much with friends and not attending religious activities as much? All these would be signals that your job and your psyche are interacting in ways that are potentially dangerous to your health.
Remember that while you like your job, the above factors are generally indicating the opposite.Better take hold of yourself. Enrol yourself for some aerobic class. Vigorous exercise is very helpful in washing out the badness, clearing away the negative cobwebs. It also gives you a chance to interact with people in a relaxed atmosphere.
Try some simple exercises at work which will automatically relax you while on the job.
Another antidote is talking about your problems with family and friends. Maybe you are unnecessarily making a mountain out of a molehill of incidents at your office. If you talk about it, you could get another opinion and thus it could take the stress out. Unless you are relaxed at work, both your output and your inter-personal relationships could suffer and ultimately speak negatively about you.
