  • Agonda beach is picturesque. It is fairly secluded and is situated about 37 kms. from Margao.
  • Anjuna beach boasts the nearby Albuquerque mansion built almost 80 years ago. Typically Goan in conception it is sidelight of this popular beach, which is located about 18kms from Panaji.
  • Arambol beach is the northern most beach. It is known locally as the 'hippie beach', a fact on which the Goan Government hopes to cash in on by developing the beach.
  • Colva beach stretching 20 km along the coast is the pride of Salcete. Its beautiful white sands are rivalled only by Calangute.
  • Dona Paula beach is located near the Zuari river and Marmagoa Harbour. It is a small palm fringed beach with casurina groves. It is named after a Viceroy's daughter who reportedly jumped from the cliffs when refused permission to marry a fisherman.
  • Miramar beach is the closest beach from Panaji, situated about 3km from Goa's capital. Is rimmed with palm trees.
  • Vagator Beach is the picture postcard beach of Goa. It has miles of palm fringed, soft white sand.
