  • As a team, make sure that everyone gets updated about the various actions that others on the team are taking.
  • Even if they are not present on the day, they should be sent a mail or told about the new decisions taken in their absence.
  • If a single member of the team works part time, that is also no reason for their being in the dark about a policy or a decision.
  • Make sure that team members do shoulder the responsibility of keeping each other informed about the latest on the project.
  • By doing this, no one feels belittled and no one will feel that there is discrimination on the team.
  • As boss, you have to be extra careful on division of work so that work is divided equally, with total attention being paid to the capability of the person.
  • The team members should not feel that their talent has not been tapped into.
  • During meetings, all members should be encouraged to speak up, irrespective of their age and position.
  • Since you are dealing with so many members, you are definitely under a lot of pressure and have very little time for yourself.
  • However, it is very important that you relate to your team and give each member of your team 10 minutes of undivided attention to discuss the progress of the project and also any personal conflicts.
  • It is imperative that you do not comment on the personal interaction that you have with a member of the team to another.
  • This will undermine the confidence of the team since confidentiality is not maintained.
  • Leave your mood-swings behind before coming to work.
