How do I greet a client at a business lunch/ dinner? Suppose I am early and already seated, should I get up to receive him or remain seated? What is correct?

You do have to be early if you have invited the client. If you are sitting, please get up and move out of your seat, hold out your hand and welcome him/her by saying, "How do you do? What a pleasure to see you. I am so glad you could make it." Client is king! Viji
