Punjabi suits have been my favorite and the new trend in these suits is the handmade fabric painting on the kurta and the printed churidar. The most common designs that I have come across are like the Arabic henna prints. Flowers, petals and stems collectively form great combinations to appear on the Kurtas. I have also seen some patch like painted designs on the Punjabi suits. I just love these suits and I was planning to make one of them but I am not too fluent with painting fabric. What sort of fabric takes the best color from the painting colors? Can anyone give me some tips on fabric painting?
