I love the traditional costumes of Gujarat. They are so colourful and vibrant! They truly reflect the spirit of the people in Gujarat-colourful and vivacious! I find the traditional Ghagra Choli absolutely stunning. The embellishments and embroidery on the Ghagra is so beautiful. The traditional Ghagra Choli of Gujarat is so popular that it is worn by women throughout the country during Navratri. However, very few know about the traditional costume of Gujarati men. The traditional costume consists of dhoti, which is a long cotton cloth that is wrapped around the waist. This is paired with a frock type coat which is called Kediyu or Angarakhu. The ensemble is completed with a turban called Phento. The traditional costumes of Gujarat are colourful and come embellished with sequins or embroidery or glasswork.
