I am married in a South Indian family. According to a family ritual, I am supposed to make a South Indian Rangoli. Although, I know how to make regular Rangoli, I am not sure how the borders of South Indian Rangoli are made. Can you help?
South Indian Rangoli borders are very easy. If you want to try something simple, just draw mountain like structures in same size, running twice across the border. You can add simple dots to the sides of mountains for added effect. You can also make flowery borders such as stems on the side and flower in the middle. Colour the stems in white and use blue, green or pink shade in the flower. Other peripheral designs can include peacock feathers or lotuses. Do you have any other suggestions?
