I am about to take sort of a guest lecture in a primary school where I have to recite to the students some poems on plants. So, I was hoping if someone could help me with this.
This is something that I could find from my younger brother’s childhood reading.
The Little Plant
In the heart of a seed,
Buried deep so deep,
A tiny plant
Lay fast asleep.
"Wake," said the sunshine,
"And creep to the light."
"Wake," said the voice
Of the raindrops bright,
The little plant heard
And it rose to see,
What the wonderful,
Outside world might be.
Hope this helps in your guest lecture. Apart from reading out a poem, you can also ask the kids what they feel about plants and also what they have learnt till now. It would be better if anyone else can also help with some other poems as well for the choices…
