In India nearly 4.5 million people are suffering from diabetes. The meal of a diabetic patient depends on its age, gender, weight and working etc. Therefore different dietary charts are created for different persons. Below is given an easy to follow diet chart for a general diabetic patient.
At 6 am: fenugreek powder ( ½ teaspoon) with water.
At 7 am: 1 cup tea (without sugar) with one or two Mariegold biscuits.
Breakfast at 8.30 am: upma/oatmeal/dosa + sprouted grains (half bowl) + 100ml milk (cream-free and without sugar).
At 11 am: 1 fruit/ one cup buttermilk/ lemon water
Lunch: 2 rotis made of mixed flour+ one bowl dal+ one bowl yoghurt + one bowl green vegetables + one plate salad.
At 4 pm: one cup of tea (without sugat) + 1-2 toasts
At 6 pm: I cup mix veg soup/tomato soup
Dinner at 8:30 pm: 2 rotis+ one bowl of dal + ½ bowl green vegetables + salad
At 10:30 pm: 1 cup of milk (cream free and without sugar)
