India is a colourful country where every month brings in some festival or the other. Although there are a number of states, cultures, religions and languages, festivals are occasions when all Indians come together and celebrate irrespective of all the barriers that separate them. For instance Holi is primarily a Hindu festival but it is celebrated by Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians alike. It cannot be exactly called a slogan but the line “Bura Na Mano Holi Hai” is on everybody’s lips as they colour their friends and relatives in a myriad colours. Diwali too comes with a line “Shubh Dipawali” which is used alike by Hindus and people of other religions. Isn’t this something wonderful? I agree our country isn’t perfect in a lot of ways but festivals make this country a beautiful place which is definitely worth living. Isn’t it?
