Neck and back designs for suits

Hi, it’s my best friend’s wedding in a couple of months and I am planning to wear a salwar kameez for the wedding. I have a dark complexion and always hesitate to wear bright flashy colours. Since it is a wedding I cannot wear something that is plain and in earthy colour. Please suggest a few colours that I can wear for the wedding without looking plain and dark. I could also use a few make up tips for the wedding. I am also having trouble deciding on the neck and back designs for the salwar kameez. I am slightly plump and my tailor suggested that I do not wear deep necks. I do not want to look bottled up and really like deep necks. Please share a few ideas on neck designs and sample pictures that I can refer to.
