Hi, we are giving farewell to our seniors on March 31 and I have been selected to anchor the farewell function. It is a new thing for me and I am pretty nervous. Can someone guide me in writing a good script for anchoring a farewell function?

Writing script for any function is not an easy task but one can come up with good script through some proper research and regular consultations without experienced people. Writing stage anchoring script for farewell is not a very tough thing but the challenge is to make the script interesting for all. In a farewell, the audiences are teachers and students so the anchor needs to come up with a script which suits their sensibilities. Use some good jokes in your script and put some quotes also. Has anyone anchored a farewell function? Share some tips.

Stage anchoring can be fun if you have the right script with you. Usually people just write down speeches or simply read out the chronological order of the programmes. This bores the audience and makes the purpose of having an anchor for the show a failure. Come to think of it. Wouldnt you be bored? Check out these websites http://anchoringscripts.blogspot.in/2009/09/hi-friends.html, http://www.shayarionline.org/script-for-shayri.html,

You can use these are wonderful references for preparing your script. Try and keep the conversation light and engaging. You can throw in some funny shayari to make the script interesting. Also if you share a good rapport with your seniors you can play pranks or involve them in some activity in between programmes to keep the audience hooked. Try and avoid using a paper to read out your script. Make your speech look like you are having a conversation with the audience. The more spontaneous you are, the more successful you will be. Think of some interesting games that you can play with your seniors during the time gap between two programmes. Any other suggestions, people?
