Environment is an integral factor in our life and it is our duty to protect the environment from degradation. June 5 is celebrated across the globe as World Environment Day. The main aim of celebrating 'WED is to raise awareness about the importance of environment and encourage people to protect environment. The first WED was observed in 1973. Every year a different city is selected to host the WED and the theme of WED also keeps changing from year-to-year.
