Moral Stories are not just interesting, but they also have subtle meanings. Then why should only kids listen to moral stories? Can someone tell me short moral stories for adults?

This is one of the moral stories for adults that I love the most- A professor of philosophy once got a jar to the glass. He opened it and filled it with rocks. Then he asked the students if it was filled, to which they replied unanimously, ‘Yes!’ then he filled it with pebbles, which occupied the area between the rocks, asked the same question again and got the same reply. Then he picked a box of sand and filled the jar with it. The students replied in affirmation when he asked the same question again. It was then the professor said- ‘The jar is your life. Rocks are its most important things- you family, your spouse, your children and health. Even if you have nothing else, they fulfil you. The pebbles are things like your job, house, sand is smaller stuff. But if you fill your life with sand and spend energy on trivial things then you won’t have time for important things. So, set your priorities.’ Do you like it?

Heres a story with a great moral:

Once a professor started his class with a glass half full of water. He held it up before the class and asked them , How much do you think this glass weighs?

The students gave different answers. The professor nodded his head and said, Unless we measure it, we wont know how much it weighs.

He then asked, But my question is what will happen if I hold the glass like this for 10 minutes?

One student replied, Nothing.

The professor asked,What will happen if I hold it for another hour?

Another student replied, Your arm will start aching.

The professor asked again, What will happen if I hold the glass for a whole day?

A student said, Your arm will be numb with pain and you will not be able to do any work.

Professor, So what do I do to avoid this pain?

All the students replied in unison, Put down the glass!

The Professor smiled and said, Exactly! Lifes tensions are like this glass. If you keep holding it in your mind, it will only hurt you more and make you incapable of doing anything. Ponder over the problem in your mind for 10 minutes and then put it down.
