The holy river Ganga is believed to be the cleanser of all evils. All year through people across the country visit the river to bathe and clean themselves off the sins that they have committed. The Mahakumbh Mela is one such occasion where millions of people take dips in the holy river to free themselves of the sins and evils they have done in a lifetime. Even so, her water is bottled and sold in shops for those who need it for their daily pujas or who can’t visit the river due to the paucity of time and money. However, our irresponsible actions have made here polluted and dirty and despite knowing this, we do not do anything to free her of her pollutants. Can someone please share a poem on the River Ganga for a project that I am working on?
