Neem is known as the wonder drug, which is used in ayurveda for treatment of various conditions. My mother once told that neem has various benefits. Can someone tell me at least 10 uses of Neem? |

Neem or the Azadirachta tree is known for various uses. Most importantly, neem is used for conditions like skin diseases- including eczema, tumours, leucoderma and wounds. Neem is used for treating a variety of ailments like intestinal worms, cough, inflammation and fatigue. It is also used for its anti-diabetic properties and as a sedative. Patients suffering from chickenpox use Neem to get rid of itching. It is also used for killing ticks, mites and insects. A lot of people use neem for cleaning teeth, while it is also used in creams, shampoos, balms and soaps for treatment of acne and to maintain youthfulness of the skin. Neem is popularly known for treating malaria and purifying blood. Neem is used for preventing haemorrhoids and reducing pain in different medical conditions. Eating few neem leaves everyday keeps you fit. Does anyone know more uses of neem? |

Neem can be used to preserve rice, wheat, and pulses. Adding neem leaves to containers used for storing rice / pulses / lentils / dals etc prevents it from spoiling or rotting. |
