Rani Laskhmi bai was the queen of Jhansi in 1857. She was a very brave woman and despite intense pressure from the Britishers she refused against bowing before them. She was one of the architects of 1857 revolt which shook the English empire at that time. When Britishers found that Rani will not agree to their demand they attacked Jhansi.
