I had waited for one whole year for the summer vacations to arrive. After all, this time Dad had promised to take us all out for a holiday. The time had come and we were still kept in surprise about the destination. I had seen Ma pack some warm clothes. This excited us children a lot. As we sat in the car, Dad revealed that we were going to Simla for a week. It was thrilling!!!!

After around 10 hours of drive, we arrived at the beautiful hill station. The weather was awesome. During that one week, I enjoyed the scenic beauty and picnic spots to the hilt with my younger sister. The Ridge road with the old Christ church was a pleasure to visit every evening. We visited Jakhu Hill and the Hanuman temple over there. It was great fun to see so many monkeys around. My sister even got scared of one. At Chail Wildlife sanctuary, we saw magnificent panthers, wild boars and leopards. I insisted on travelling by the little train Kalka. It was almost like living a fairy tale. This summer holiday shall always be unforgettable for me.

I am giving you a paragraph on the summer holiday but am not sure if you are just looking for a paragraph or a full write up. Do take a look at the paragraph below and at the end I will also give you a link where you can find more such paragraphs and write-ups ands can chose the one which suits you best. Summer vacation is the best part of the year. A student can have a couple of months entirely to himself. He is not bothered about books and examinations. He can do whatever he likes. He can go wherever he pleases. He can build his health. He can visit his relations. If he can afford, he can go to the hills. Our school closed on 15th May and I decided to pass my summer vacation at Simla. As my parents were busy and could not accompany me, I decided to go with my friends. Big preparations were to be made before leaving Delhi. But it was worthwhile to escape the blazing heat of Delhi.
