Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna had known each other for a long time before marriage. Their first meeting which was destined at the sets of International Khiladi in 1999 led them to tie the knot in 2001. These two love birds felt a sense of attraction towards each other but they were not too much in the limelight like today’s affairs. Akshay even revealed to the media afterwards that it was not just the looks of Dimple that kept him astounded but also how confident she is as a woman.

The one thing that Akshay feels about women is that they are vested with the power to change just about anything. Twinkle appeared to him as a strong woman who could stand by him no matter what. It was just around 2 months since he said “Yes” that the couple got married. This wedding was one of the quietest real-life incidents in Bollywood and there were just around 50 guests.
