School’s annual day function happens to be the most important school event. So delivering a speech requires proper scripting to manage the whole milieu. The speech has a formal tone but to keep the audience engaged some catchy lines. Start with lines such as, ‘On behalf of the staff, management and the principal, I would like to welcome you all to the annual day of the school. Then invite the guest of honor and principal for lighting ceremony, ‘We would like to invite Madam Principal along with Shri ABC to light the diyas, diyas that signify education and enlightenment.’ Include jokes such as, during the first day of School we have - 30 pencils, 20 pens, 12 rulers, 10 notebooks. By the middle of the year we- “Madam I forgot to bring my pen. Can I borrow my friend’s?” Introduce performances by saying, ‘Now bringing you the culture and colors and Rajasthan with this folk dance.’ In the end, ask the principal to thank the guests and conclude with Vande Mataram. The idea is to have the best presentation on stage. Do you have any ideas to share?
