Hindi has been aptly declared as the national language of our country. In a country of many religions, cultures and languages, Hindi acts as the lingua franca. It is the language of the masses and is beyond caste, creed and culture. It brings together the people of these country both within and outside the country. However, it is unfortunate that the present generation is slowly forgetting the importance of this language. The effect of Westernisation has to some extent brought down the popularity of Hindi and English is supposed to be the “in” way of communication. I am making an effort to revive the language and create awareness on the importance of the language in my school by organising a Hindi Pakhwada. It would be really helpful if I could get a few poems to support my cause.  Does anyone have any ideas or poems to share?
