I would advise you to prepare well for "Tell me something about yourself" for any interview for that matter.  Avoid taking much about your family background and focus on you strengths and weaknesses. They might ask you why this job is important to you and why you would like to join Wipro. Be assertive and say that you fit the bill and your academic background makes you technically sound for the work. Avoid using words like ya and mostly. Can you suggest some more questions?

The main criterion for selection in a BPO or call centre is the candidates command over language. Recruiters usually look for a candidate who is fluent and conversant in English. Furthermore, his analytical and typing skills are tested. Usually the interview involves a telephonic and a personal interview where the communication skills of the individual are tested. If you are aiming at getting a BPO job with Wipro, you should brush up your English communication skills above anything else.

Here are a few links that will brief you about the selection process and questions:

What is your opinion about the mushrooming of BPOs in our country?

I have little bit knowledge of interview Questions asked in hindi call centers. See these questions might help!!

Describe yourself as a person?
Answer hint: Interviewer may ask this question to see if you have some of those qualities which employers look for in their employees like – dedication, performance oriented approach, hard working spirit , creativity etc................

Why do you want to work in a Hindi call center?
Answer hint:  In reply to this question you can relate the qualities you have to the requirements of a call center job like, good command over the language(Hindi), team working capabilities, good listening skills, grasping power etc.

Why do you want to quit your present job?
Answer hint: If you working or worked somewhere in the past then this question is the most relevant and obvious one. So, you must go prepared with a genuine and good answer for this.

Can you work in shifts/rotational shifts?
Answer hint: Its pretty obvious that if you are opting for call center jobs then you have to be prepared to work in shift as Call Centers provide 24*7 support to customers. So be prepared to say yes to this question and be open to working in shifts.
Best Wishes for the interview!!

My friend!! English being the most common language, leads to the most common mistakes. But don`t worry as one can learn and easily master the language, and develop fluency in it. Simply follow these steps and include these practices in your daily routine.

Step One: Have a role model to follow.Search out for famous personalities online, find their videos on youtube and listen to each and every word they speak and practice along with that. It will surely improve your fluency in english,
Step 2: Read and mark every difficult word you come across and find its meaning.
Step 3: Kill you ego. Whenever someone points out a mistake in your conversation take it as a positive feedback.
Step 4: Opt for language classes or voice and accent training classes.
Step 5: Practice, practice and practice.

So get started!!
