There are various chicken recipes that are available all over the internet and in various books available in the market. Various items include Chicken kasha, chicken Manchurian, chicken do-piyaza, sweet and sour chicken, chicken bharta, chicken cutlet and many others. Chicken recipes are mainly served as main course or as starters. Now-a-days there are various cookery shows on television which provide us with variety of chicken recipes in Hindi. What are the chicken items you make at you home? Can you suggest some chicken recipes in Hindi? Which is the best website or book were the best and easiest recipes are available?

Chicken is a staple dish in all feasts, parties, weddings and all special occasions. There are a number of recipes for cooking Chicken in different ways and with a little imagination and creativity you can create this non vegetarian item into a wonderful dish. Here a recipe for a simple Chicken curry.

You will need kg chicken, 3 onions, 6-7 garlic cloves, ginger chopped, 2 to 3 green chillies, mustard seeds, 2 tomatoes, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder , 1 tsp garam masala, salt to taste, chopped coriander for garnishing.

Wash and clean the chicken. Marinate using curd, a pinch of turmeric and red chilli powder and set aside for 20 minutes.

Heat some oil in a wok, add the mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add the chopped onions, ginger and garlic and fry till the onions are golden. Add the tomatoes, spice powders and salt and close the lid of the vessel. Let the tomatoes melt and wait till the oil separates. Now add some water and let the masala simmer. Now add the chicken and cook on slow flame for 20 minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander.
