Rani Lakshmi Bai was the epitome of bravery and courage in India. She was the warrior queen with whom the war for Indian independence is identified. Heroic poems have been written in her honour. She is remembered by a famous poem written by Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, titles as Khoob ladi mardaani wo to Jhansi wali rani thi. This poem elaborates the lifetime achievements and brave traits of the queen.
