Diwali also known as ‘Festival of lights” is one of the most popular festivals of India. The festival is celebrated by millions of Hindus across the country with joy and happiness. Diwali is celebrated to mark the return of Lord Ram to his birthplace Ayodha after defeating Ravana. Hindus light candles and diyas to mark the festival. They gift sweets and other items to their relatives on Diwali. In the evening, people burst firecrackers to enjoy the festival. On this day, people also worship Goddess Lakshmi which is revered as the Goddess of Wealth by Hindus. Would you like to share your opinions about this festival?
