Poetry is a unique form of writing, it is important that students learn the art of appreciation and poetry from a very young age onwards. Not only does poetry help open one’s horizon and thinking, it brings diversity in understanding and it also helps in understand the different ways to express an idea and emotion. There are many great poets recommended to students of class 5 these include poems like Daffodils by William Wordsworth, Oh Captain My Captain, by Walt Whitman, A Red Red Rose by Robert Burns, Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe and many more. What are your suggestions on this?
