Yikes! A lot riding on your shoulders there. Keep things simple. She is the love of your life and she is about to give you the best gift one can imagine of. Please avoid any jokes about the gained weight . Pregnant women are sensitive creatures and tend to take things to heart. A “Happy birthday” and a kiss on the cheek ensure to keep her happy.

It is not easy to compliment a pregnant woman especially not when she is turning a year older. Women fear getting older. What is surely making things worse is all the pregnancy hormones. A birthday is so not easy especially when you are in the family way. My advice is that your birthday wish should be polite! Try not to make jokes about the gained weight and ageing. A simple “Happy birthday to a pretty mommy to be” SMS or a “ You are Ageless!” card should do the trick!

You can say that its you who's supposed to get the best gift but nothing can match what she has brought to your life.

I guess, 'ageless' thing should be avoided...might raise doubts why you talking on that ;)

Spending time ( full day ) together will mean more and value more compare to a card or gift.
