Among the worst crimes perpetrated on earth, violence against women is quite prominent. Women are physically beaten up, sexually assaulted and exposed to many extreme situations. Hardly ever do people rise up to address this issue. It is taken for granted that men are superior to women and have authority to behave as they like. Yet, the movement to change this attitude and stop such violence has started, the proof of which can be found in slogans we come across so often. For example:

Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.

Real Men don’t use violence.

Violence against women is an everyday reality, act now, always and forever before it’s too late.
