Trees are a very important for sustaining life on this planet. Try thinking of a poem that encompasses all the qualities of a tree and stress the ill-effects of de-forestation and the need for planting more trees. It is unfortunate that our green cover has diminished considerably and has resulted in such drastic climate change. Your poem could include all these points and also state how we have thoughtlessly and mercilessly cut down our friends.
