Jhansi Ki Rani, or The Queen of Jhansi, is one of the most famous Queens of Pre Independence India. She is particularly known for her grit, courage and absolute resolve to fight the British. Jhansi Ki Rani or Rani Lakshmibai, is believed to be amongst the earliest rulers of India who fearlessly fought the British. In fact, she is known to have gone into the battlefield carrying her toddler son along with her. One of the most famous quotes or dialogues that were given for this brave queen was by a British General Sir Hugh Rose; he had fought against the Maharani and was in fact defeated by her several times.
