Rajasthan is a state full of colours, music and rich culture. Any Rajasthani wedding is bound to have folk songs as its integral part. Some of the songs that can be picked up for preparing a dance performance on are:

Mehndi rachan Laagi Hathaan Mein Bande Re Naam ri

Banna Re Bagaan Mei Jhoola Ghalya

Nakhralo Devariyo

Morni Bagaan Ma bole

Naina Ra Lobhi

Hariya Podina

Lehriyo

Pallo Latke

Dhola Dhol Manjeera

You can procure these songs either from You Tube or from http://www.veenamusiconline.com. These dance performances become even better when done in group and some props are used too, like a “matka”, ghunghroos, etc.

I really like Pallo latke and Morni bagaan ma bole. Lovely, vibrant songs!

Rajasthani weddings are a great event to watch...colors..grandeur...decorations..huge crowd...feels like a grand carnival :)
