The eighth month of pregnancy is very crucial because the foetus develops almost fully at this time. Certain precautions must be taken by all mothers-to-be at this stage. Being an Indian woman, it is inadvertent that you will have to take care of the house and people around you. But let not any task become overwhelming, lest your feet should swell up. Do not stand for too long and take ample rest. Respond to your body’s requirements immediately, be it hunger, pain, unrest or even contractions. Eat lots of fruits and stay hydrated. You really don’t want to get constipated at this stage!!

Also, avoid travelling.

Seven months of pregnancy and a woman should start taking extra care. The baby develops really fast and may start kicking around. The symptoms of heartburn, indigestion, headaches, bloating and leg cramps are common. In addition shortness of breath, feeling lethargic and the need to urinate frequently also increases. Nights will start getting uncomfortable as you may also have trouble sleeping. Taking complete care and staying mentally fit will ensure that all is well!

One of our close female relative had a miscarriage around her delivery date owing to her observing a strict `"karvachauth". How stupid even well educated people can be at times.!!!!!!

After the eight month, the baby is fully developed, so it will tend to put on weight.. So after 8 months, you need more walking and exercise and see to that you eat on time and on limit. Don;t skip meals and fast, but never overeat. Babies always put on weight during the last trimester..So one have to be careful and eat balanced diet

During the eighth month of your pregnancy, your body will show a lot of changes and you will have to be very careful about it. You will experience more frequent urination, appearance of colostrums on nipples, vaginal discharge may become profuse, more swollen feet, sudden shooting pains etc. During this month, avoid long travels, standing or sitting for a long time, bending, carrying heavy objects. Make sure your diet has more iron content in it. Visit your physician regularly and bring to his notice if you experience any abnormal symptom. Drink plenty of fluids to keep your body in balance.

Hey Congrats "Soon -to-be-a-MOM"- Arti

If you need a C-Section to save the life of your baby, it's nothing short of miraculous, and worth every bit of pain and risk. Sometimes if your baby is breech and can't be turned, or in some cases with twins, a C section tremendously lowers the risk to your baby.

Being a mother of a 4 year old boy i can suggest you some tips with the help of which you can avoid C-section delivery up to a great extend.

First and foremost- Have good and balanced diet even in 3rd trimester of pregnancy! Eat lots of healthy carbohydrates, especially during the last couple weeks, so that you'll have lots of energy to draw from during your labor.

Best practice is to stay 'Out of Bed' especially during 9th month of pregnancy! Women who stay active during labor have been proven to have shorter labors, more comfortable deliveries, fewer forceps deliveries, better coping skills (as measured by amount of pain medication given) and generally feel more in control than women who lay in bed throughout the entire labor.

Lastly, use natural forms of pain management. There is no drug used for pain relief during labor that does not carry with it risks of adversely affecting the baby. Many, including the epidural, also carry with it an increase of Cesarean birth rates. There are many forms of natural pain relief which can be utilized during labor. Go for massage, heat therapy, changing positions, music, soothing lighting, frequent urination, vocalization, visualization, and verbal encouragement from others in the room.

I hope this piece of information is helpful for you!
