Christmas has become a multi-cultural event worldwide because it is celebrated in many countries. Here is how a few cultures rejoice this festival.

In Australia

Christmas in Australia occurs in the middle of the summer. People embellish their homes portraying snowy Christmas themes. Surprisingly, Australian Santa dons a summer suit and his sleigh is dragged by Kangaroos. A customary Xmas dinner is sumptuous and heavy. The lighter alternative consist seafood, cold ham, turkey and salads. Pavlova is an exclusive Aussie dessert relished by locals during Christmas.

In the Arctic

The Christmas celebration begins early in Finland. The Christmas markets are decorated with vibrant festive lights and the city witness ‘Pikka joulu’ (little Christmas) parties thrown to rejoice the festival. Exclusive goodies including the customary spicy hot mulled wine – Glogi are savored on this day. If you are looking for a snowy white Christmas then visit Finnish Lapland for a fantastic trip.

In Singapore

Orchard Road in Singapore is decorated with striking and multihued Christmas lighting displays. Shopping malls look like Christmas gifts, especially Tanglin mall which put up large Christmas display with a machine discharging snow! Locals and vacationers love to douse themselves in the artificial snow.

In Netherlands

The Christmas shopping mall in Valkenburg - Fluweelengrot (Velvet Cave) starts its decoration from November until Christmas. The stunning marlstone cave with its thrilling ambiance is certainly the most renowned Christmas market spot in the Netherlands. An on foot tour of the market will introduce you to a romantically lit-up Christmas cave adorned with an 18th century church, fresco figurines and statuettes.

Actress Karishma Kapoor and Kareena kapoor attended the midnight mass in bandra church.

I noticed in Mumbai the culture is mixed because of the cosmopolitan life... I go to churches + mandir + Mahim Darka.... I donate in all also. I go to my Rakhi brothers home for EID to have biryani and lovely kheer..

Juhee ,you are wrong. Jaya is certainly not impossible. She is ' I am possible '.A wonder girl indeed.!!!!!!!! But so are most of the ladies, may be to a lesser extent than her but much more efficient in multitasking than all the buggers of the world put together.

I am not celeberating the new year this year. I shall welcome the new year with a silent tear and two minutes silence for the unfortunate Delhi girl, who fell a prey to the wild animals ,marauding as humans beings on the city roads.Rest in peace poor girl and don't come back as a girl child in India at least.Don't despair my child,we will ensure that your tormentors go to hell soon. Please forgive us all for failing to protect you and your life.We hang our heads in shame and promise to never forget the unfortunate fate you met with. We promise to make this world a better and safe place to live for our daughters, sisters ,mothers and all the females
