Forget the shabby elastic belts, the 80s big belts are back with a bang in an ultra-stylish patterns for women. The best thing about these belts is that they can be stylishly paired with every kind of outfit to add that touch of glamour to it.

A latest fad in fashion accessories, they have been spotted on Twinkle Khanna’s, Aishwarya Bachchan’s, Bipasha Basu’s, Katrina Kaif’s and Raveena Tandon’s outfits. The big names of the fashion industry including Cavalli, Chanel and Dior have fervently promoted this trend in their new collections revealed at global fashion weeks.

Big belts look chic when wrapped high on the waist as they highlight the waist making it look smaller. Outlines like blouses, dresses and gowns, particularly those which have empire line cut, are favorites as they reveal your feminine side.

Since big belts give an impression of power dressing, designers warns that they should be worn by women of slimmer frame. One can wear the belt on a blouse teamed up with jeans while dressing for a casual occasion. These belts can vary in sizes anywhere from one inch to five inches.

Big belts sync well with capacious shapes as they highlight the outline of the garment and when paired with a Kaftan top or a shirt blouse with slim pants or even a tunic with leggings, they work just fine.
