I m a Tamil guy. language is not a matter. if u marry any guy just u know about that guy character. if the guy is good u can marry that guy otherwise u avoid such thing. A best thing is what u see is true. so u marry ur relations person. that the safe of ur life.

my personal advice is that you are not going live with tamil or not going to marry the caste

and you are not going make tamil as your husband and caste as your daughter or son

you are just going to make a happy family with your most favourite and lovable one so the caste and the language is no bother

The South Indians are basically very nice,soft spoken,disciplined ,god fearing and unpretentious  simple people.You may  have to lead a simple sati savitri gharelu type of daughter in law life with them. Tamil Nadar families are closed knit ones and they expects dowry by cash and gold. Is it OK for you? Then the caste, tell the boy to speak to his parents regarding your caste, Tamil nadars are really proud of their high caste and they insults and shows indifference to other caste people. 
Dowry cash + gold --- without this if you happen to enter the nadar community - you will not get respect in their family....well as you don;t know tamil, whatever insult they do will not affect you...

So think a lot before you decide anything.. Tell the boy to speak to his family openly regarding the dowry and caste...Let your family elders ( surely your elders will have english knowledge) speaks openly to his family...Then decide further.

Or if he is ready to come out and marry you, please check his background properly. Nadar boys always likes Fair skin girls as the fair skin is rare in their community.Please don;t take it as offend
 

 Jaya,why are you scaring the poor girl. The Nadar community comes under OBC category. So the caste difference should not be a problem. As far as dowry and gold thing is considered ,every body is same ,irrespective of caste ,creed or background .The main thing is how sincere is their love for each other. If their love is strong and true ,they will weather all these problems.As far as liking white skinned girls is concerned,this a bitter fact of life all across the world,even negros like to have white wives.The most glaring example of this mentality is of " Michael Jackson" opting for myriad operations to white wash himself .

 Nadar community comes under OBC --- it was done by politics for the favour of nadar to get some govt jobs and other educational facilities 

 You mean to say that in North India also Dowry + Kgs of Gold is popular??? It is news to me. I always thought that only  South India is cursed with dowry and gold
