Look there is not much difference sikh religion and hindu religion. Infact there is no poiny of conflict in them. hinduism, sikhism, jainism and buddhism share common roots. the main differnce wud be of lifestyle, as north indian lifestyle differs from south india. but u will find it easy to get adapted. as far as language barrier is considered, if u guys know a common language, den it wont be problem any more. after an year of marriage u wud be able to accomodate urself. |

Don't worry a bit girlie. Even my daughter married a Bangalorean boy recently. The South Indians are basically very nice,soft spoken,disciplined ,god fearing and unpretentious simple people.You may have to lead a simple sati savitri gharelu type of daughter in law life with them. Dear, It is better you think twice. Tamil Nadar families are closed knit ones and they expects dowry by cash and gold. Is it OK for you? Then the caste, tell the boy to speak to his parents regarding your caste, Tamil nadars are really proud of their high caste and they insults and shows indifference to other caste people. So think a lot before you decide anything.. Tell the boy to speak to his family openly regarding the dowry and caste...Let your family elders ( surely your elders will have english knowledge) speaks openly to his family...Then decide further. As far as dowry and gold thing is considered ,every body is same ,irrespective of caste ,creed or background .The main thing is how sincere is their love for each other. If their love is strong and true ,they will weather all these problems.As far as liking white skinned girls is concerned,this a bitter fact of life all across the world,even negros like to have white wives.The most glaring example of this mentality is of " Michael Jackson" opting for myriad operations to white wash himself . |
