Hi friends We are newly married couple.We love each other a lot. I too make mistakes and i accpet it.But husband is diff.My husband is not giving me time to learn. he points out my mistakes on my dishes etc etc. He has a huge ego problem I think like a typical man. When he knows he is wrong, all he does is to raise his voice loudley and protect himself. He get so wild and makes it look like I ve commited a sin. though it wld be a petty issude of mine. i can stand this. Am not a door mat to him. Whenver he is rude to me, i get hurt and weep. After soemtime i confront to him that I did not like his attitude. He wld just have an irritated look on his face but will never be sorry. But atleast he gets the message that i did not like his attitude. Then we become pally pally. but deep down am waiting for him to apologise. i knw men hate to say sorry. But how do i amke him undertsand to be a courteous and a polite human being.He believs in man power and think i wld bow to him all the time. I am a young lady with modern thoughts. I believe in giving respect and taking respect.I am never rude to him.But I admit am too submissive and dependent on him, which wld make him think am weak and shd listen to him always. i dont want my future kids to follow him. Please friends help me out. let us also help our other women folks to solve their problem . After all women are always there for women. |

Hi Lalitha. Your story is just like me and my boyfriend's. We share the same kinda relationship but still I love him. But I myself cannot think of spending my life with him. I'm looking for a solution as well. Hence, I'll be writing my query to the relationship expert in the Femina Magazine as one of my friend suggested that they give an immediate reply and a valuable advice. This is a very common problem for all the newly wedded couples be it Love marriage or Arranged marriage.I had too.But I learned so many things in the process.1stly,Accept ur husband the way he is.2ndly Don't expect anything from him in return.Just do what you need to do.3rdly Try to do things that he likes or might like.4th,If he says something to you,just listen to him and say OK.Don't talk back or irritate him.5th, Don't expect apologies from him.Accept ur faults only if you truly believe that you did a mistake.6th Apologize even if he doesn't b'coz you are neither doing him any favor nor you are putting yourself down by doing it. Remember one thing,Life is too long to Complain,Condemn and Criticize and too short to love or to be loved.Also believe in God and pray him to bring change in ur husband and let God handle him.If you come in the middle, even God can not help you. Take ur time to change and give him his time too. I read it somewhere.Let ur hubby hold the umbrella for you both when it rains.But if you try to pull it,no one will be under it.So,just do these and see the difference.I've seen a great change in my hubby and in myself after understanding these things and acting on it. I'm sure, one day you'll see that too.Just count on the memorable moments you spent together and forget these silly things.Of course, its just a suggestion from my side.Its your decision end of the day.So, all the best and take care. |

see every human have different thinking and nature.
m agree that ur husband should show luv and care for u as well as he should apolozise when he's doing any mistake.
but this is a world of GUYs only, and without any support u can't survive and every one try to approch u badly without thinking wht u feels
pls try to talk him polity wht u r expecting from him. divorce or stop talking doesn't resolve ur issue even it will create differences between u & ur husband |

Try to teach him a lesson . my hub also like that . In each every thing my hand is up from my side like property , caste , education M Tech (civil) , salary drawn etc but even though i marry him bcz we love together. our married life passed three months now he started to show his mentality . simply i get angry if i don't like anything . i tell him each & everything but he wont replies . then i got very angry. when he tries to question me i too raise my voice meanwhile if not he is dancing . when i raised then he became clam . i don't like to answer others even my parents also? for that i am trying him to teach a lesson then they start to study our mentality."
