> Save 40 Minutes When You Fly
Try these travel tips from an industry insider and you'll get through the airport in a flash:If you have bags to check, just checking them at the gate is the fastest way. Most people don't even know that bags are allowed to be checked at the gate by some airlines. Your bags will be most likely put in the storage last and so they'll hit the carousel in the first lot when you land. If you're arriving at an airport in the evening, have your ride pick you up on the departures level, which will have less traffic at that time. Ask for an aisle seat as close to the front of the plane as possible and you'll be one of the first people to be off the plane when it lands. Don't wear any metal jewellery on the day you're flying, and check your pockets beforehand for change, keys or anything else that may set off the metal detectors and slow you down. Before entering the airport, tuck your ID into your pants or jacket pocket so you can grab it quickly if and when needed. Instead of leaving your car in the airport parking lot while you're away, hire a taxi or car service. It costs just a little extra and saves you tons of time getting to and from the airport.
