With time golf has become a well known and prestigious sport in India. Not only men, but women have also started taking interest in the game. Today, there are excellent Women Golfers representing almost every state of India. The Top 10 women golfers include Simi Mehra, Irina Brar, Shalini Malik, Vandana Agarwal, Sanam Merchant, Mayali Talwar, Shruti Khanna, Parinita Grewal, Mayali Talwar and Seema Sobti.

• Simi Mehra- The winner of all eight women`s pro golf events in India, Simi Mehra was born on 21st May in the year 1972. She was the first Indian woman to be a member of the world`s reputed golf tour of women known as LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour.

• Irina Brar- The winner of Women`s professional Golf Tour, Irina Brar from Chandigarh won the sixth and final leg of the DLF Women`s professional Golf Tour. She ranked number one in the Indian Golf Union`s ladies section. She has also won the Singapore Open, Sri Lankan Open and the All India Women`s Open.

• Shalini Malik- One of the top 10 Women Golfers in India, Shalini Malik won the opening round lead in the eighth leg of the DLF Women`s Professional Golf Tour.

• Vandana Agarwal- Another famous women golfer, Vandana Agarwal comes from Kolkata. Vandal is also an Executive with Oil India. She has participated in tournaments in Indonesia and Singapore.

• Sanam Merchant- Sanam Merchant hails from Mumbai. She has also been a popular Indian women golfer in India.

• Mayali Talwar- Mayali Talwar is counted among the top five golfers in India. Daughter of a member of the Delhi Golf Club, Mayali Talwar is considered one of the most talented golfers of India.

• Shruti Khanna- 26 year old Shruti Khanna is the winner of the 2000 Sri Lanka Open. She has been playing since the age of 15. Shruti Khanna went on to graduate form Rollin`s College, Florida where she had gone on a golf scholarship.

• Parinita Grewal- Parinita Grewal is Chandigarh`s top-rated golfer.

• Mayali Talwar- Mayali Talwar, from the capital city Delhi, is also a famous women golfer who became the runner-up with 309 after Shalini Malik (DGC) third with 312.

• Seema Sobti- To complete the list of top 10 women golfers, the name of Seema Sobti can never be omitted.
