Whether it`s a first date or any other, the focus of the couple is on impressing each other. Women dress gorgeously, look their best and behave classy on dates, yet sometimes things go wrong and a date can turn into a disaster. Women must have a backup in case something goes wrong or might as well prepare beforehand so that nothing goes wrong.

There is nothing like getting food stuck in one`s teeth and finding out about it after the date is over. And it gets worse if the date himself informs her of the food. A piece of spinach, mushroom, chocolate pudding or anything else can hurt a woman`s image. Moreover, food spills and splatters on the dress also add to the damage as she may be projected a complete slob in front of her date.

To avoid these mishaps, one must not wear whites or any other light color as spills appear clearly on them. As for checking crumbs between teeth, one can go to the restroom and wash her mouth or carry a compact mirror in her purse to keep a check on her throughout the evening.

All one wants during a date is to look gorgeous and classy. Most of the times, women end up putting off their dates, even when they are looking beautiful. What fends off a guy is probably the kind of dress and makeup his date is wearing. Looks matter the most, for both the sexes, but that doesn`t mean one has to look her best.

In other words, one has to consider the likes of her date – while some men are attracted to women wearing glossy makeup and ritzy outfits, others are swept off their feet by plain looks and modest attire. A woman must keep in mind the kind of looks she was flaunting when he asked her out in the first place and then dress accordingly for the date so as to impress him.

One thing that spoils a date like nothing else is a fart. Men don`t prefer women who fart or stink. No matter how unreasonable it sounds but it`s true. In order to keep natural explosions at bay, women must avoid Mexican food as well as anything else that`s spicy. They may also want to steer clear of dairy products especially milk.

Getting smitten by a guy is inevitable if he is really charming but one has to be practical and notice if anything at all is strange about him. Some of the warning signs to run for hills are: He is self-obsessed, gets too aggressive on political or social issues, presses for having sex on first date, proposes marriage (he may have a psychological or emotional condition) and is too good to be true.

If one notices any of the above, she must call it a last date very politely as there`s a chance he may get irritated or aggressive. What most women feel at this point is that they can deal with it and change the guy, after all he doesn`t have any other flaw. This kind of attitude gets women in trouble and after a few months or so, they feel trapped and can`t find a way out. So, it`s best that one keeps her eyes and mind open on her first date.
