The Colour: don’t get carried away by the fuschia pinks or tangy oranges. Choose colours that you would often use eg beige, ivory, tan, black.
The Shapes: Do you like the floppy shapeless varieties that can hold it “all”? Or do you prefer the structured rectangle / square. Once you know your preference, things will get into “shape”
The Straps: Do you like long shoulder straps? Prefer clutch bags? Like short handles? Check if the straps are strong enough. Remember, thin straps may cut into your shoulders when loaded!
The Frills: Are there extras that you love in your bags? Zipped pockets or more than one compartment? External pockets / flaps? Cell phone pocket? The Usefulness: Will the bag accommodate the load that you usually carry? Will be easy to access everything you want?
