Going by the number of night creams in the market, we can safely say that sleep time is the right pamper your skin time. There is an obvious advantage of treating your skin while you sleep. Treatment creams and antiaging creams work better when they are not exposed to sunlight and outside air. Even vitamin-enriched lotions show faster results when you use them before hitting the sack.
It is proven that our skin is more receptive at night and active ingredients are able to penetrate the skin better at the time. So it is a good idea to arm yourself with some good night treatment creams that will leave you looking fresh and rejuvenated next morning.
- When using a night cream make sure to lie flat on your back as lying face down can create permanent crease in your skin. You will also avoid rubbing off the potion on to your pillow. At least spend some time on your back every night to relax your face muscles.
- Keep your skin hydrated throughout the day and drink some water before hitting the bed. This will make sure that your skin does not lose moisture from the airconditioning in your room.
- Before you hit the bed at night try to take a soothing bath and use a rich emollient based lotion not just on your face but all over your body on a slightly damp skin to seal in the moisture. Try a rich lotion like Vaseline Body Lotion, Rs 79 or Forest Essential Vitamin E Body Cream, Rs 575 for a smooth skin morning after. Make sure to use a little extra on your hands and feet that tend to get dry very easily.
