A dry skin that lacks both oil and moisture needs extra nourishing care. For this type of skin it is important to layer the moisturisers and skin conditioners to trap in the moisture and oil. Post cleansing first tone your skin with a toner made of equal quantities of rose water and witchhazel, as it decongests the skin and allows better absorption of the moisturisers. Then apply a few drops of face oil made of sandalwood oil, one tablespoon of almond oil and one teaspoon of castor oil. This will replenish the lost oils in your skin. After five minutes, follow with a gentle rose"based moisturiser. In summer months avoid castor oil.
