It is common knowledge that the number of people who are falling prey to the burn out syndrome is increasing by leaps and bounds. What is more alarming is the fact that, the greatest asset that this country can boast of- the only country in the world with a young population is worst affected.
What exactly is this burn out syndrome?  It is a situation that makes you completely drained physically or emotionally, and if this situation continues you may become a victim of the burn out syndrome. The burnout syndrome is a condition in which your body or mind can no longer cope with overwhelmingly high demands of either your personal life or career.
Listed below are a number of signs and symptoms which are indicative of the burn out syndrome:

  • A persistent feeling of fatigue
  • Recurring headaches
  • Constant feeling of irritability
  • Gastro-intestinal problems
  • Angry outbursts at seemingly inconsequential things
  • Abnormal loss or gain of weight
  • Sleeplessness
  • Depression
  • Becoming suspicious of everything and everybody
  • Feeling helpless
  • Self-pity or self-criticism for putting up with demands.

 

Be on the look out for these and take the necessary measures that will prevent matters from getting out of control.
