• People in love always say that they will accept your lifestyle, whatever it is.
• Make sure you talk about the night shifts that you will have to do.
• Also tell your man that you may not be in a position to make him breakfast or pack him lunch if work is demanding.
• Weekends you may like to sleep it off, rather go for a movie.
• You have limited holidays and therefore may not be the ideal daughter-in- law when the in-laws land up.

Discussing these things beforehand gives your partner a realistic picture of what life will be like after marriage. There will be no room for “But I thought…”
