Punctuality You tell your team members to come to meetings on time, deliver their projects ac-cording to schedule, ask them to make sure they are in their seats at the right time and the response you get is, “Better late than never!" or “But you should have seen the traffic jam..." What do you do?

  • Are you punctual?
  • Do you start and end your meetings in time?
  • Have you made your team understand that by not maintaining punctuality, they are showing scant respect for the organisation and in turn, the client?
  • Is your team unable to do things in time or are you always rushing them with a commitment that you have made to the client at the nth hour?
  • If the above is true, then you are the one who has to do the planning. Your team members can hardly complain to you about your lack of planning!
  • Make sure you create buffer time for you and others when planning a meeting, a conference call or even a deadline for a project.
  • When you don't respect time, you don't respect people also because you make others wait while you walk in at your convenience.
  • If you are ever late, send a message. That is why we have so many gadgets today!

Global standards demand that all companies be punctual. Develop these habits in your team instead of complaining!
