Interact with Your Team You can see that some members of the team are unhappy, are not performing and just need a little nudge to leave. What do you do? Shrug your shoulders?

  • Your team's concerns are your concerns.
  • Get to know your employees and don't give the usual excuse of “But where is the time?"
  • Make time because the more you understand them, the better you are going to make use of their talents.
  • Get them to speak their minds and don't punish them for it.
  • Understand the emotion behind the words, rather than the words themselves.
  • If they have a complaint to make about a particular employee, make sure you verify the information instead of assuming that the complaint is not of any great consequence.
  • Sometimes employees leave not because of the company because of the friction between colleagues.

Most important is that you maintain your team's confidentiality and not brandish the information that they have shared with you.
