Going on a guilt trip because you hardly saw your child for two hours today? Sixty per cent of mothers work today.... so you are not the only martyr!
- The major thing to understand is that just because you feel guilty does not mean that you are guilty. Maybe you are just a little too sensitive.
- By being sensitive, you want to take on the role of super mom and not ask anyone in the family to pitch in.
- You don't ask hubby to get the grocery from the shop or help your child with math.
- If you are bringing in an extra income into the family so that you can be comfortable, you have every right to ask the members of your family to pitch in.
- Remember, children whose dads also help in nurturing them turn out to be smarter and it has been proved!
- Don't talk about this guilt to too many people (especially not your family!), because then you will be held to ransom and made to feel even more guilty.
When available, have fun with the family and enjoy yourself!
