1. If your date is not the kind of person you want to meet again, say so.
2. Thank him and tell him that there is no chemistry. Or say so on the phone later on when he calls.
3. Don`t tell him you want to continue to be friends. That leads to too many phone calls.
4. Don`t even let him kiss you because then when you say that you are not interested, he feels that you have let him down badly.
