Cancelling a First Date

You have a huge crush on this guy whom you think is cute, attractive, and whom everyone from your own friend circle has eyed. He asks you out on a date and you are on cloud nine. Then suddenly, minutes before the meeting, you get a call

• Your date asks for postponement of the meeting.
• There is no apology and hardly an excuse.
• You are so taken up by him that you brush it aside as an emergency and forgive him.
• You receive no calls; when you meet him accidentally in college or outside, he acts busy.
• When you call (which you actually shouldn't be doing), he doesn't pick up.
• Do not put up with this “second class behaviour" no matter how rich or good looking the fellow is.
• This kind of relationship will harm your self-esteem.
• Do not imagine that the person is going to change and treat you better.
• Move on to someone else who will respect your time and you.

Don't let even the most sought-after guy in college or elsewhere treat you like a doormat.
